Re: Can't install game from Epic games

Hi @MartinnSouzza Can we try going through the following link to connect your EA and Epic accounts? After trying to launch your game and check if the same message pops up.

If the error does continue try closing the EA app, verifying the game in Epic, and relaunching.

Cheers!

Hello @EA_Illium, unfortunately, the steps in the link you sent me did not work at all. Also, I can't launch the game because it isn't even installed, and I can't install it because of the bug.

I don't know if it can be fixed or not. I also ran into this problem. It's all EA games that are in epic, can't install.

  • @EA_Illium This solution doesn't work. Are you going to suggest something else or leave us hanging with games we've paid for and can't play?

  • @joshify Same thing here, I can't get EA App to open on its own or through Epic. I've tried all of the below if you want to give any a go

1- Checked my internet connection, it is stable and fast.

2- Uninstalled with Revo Uninstaller and reinstalled the app multiple times.

3- Ended task on the EA background services.

4- Set EA App to run as administrator

5- Cleared the app data cache for anything EA related.

6- Turned on Unicode time setting (?) or similar as another thread suggested that

7- Turned off secure boot in BIOS as another thread suggested that

    8- Updated all drivers

9- Unplugged the PC waited and plugged back in.

10- Checked for corrupt files/ hardware

11- Tried to create a separate admin account in Windows to open it.

12- Attempted to open an EA game through Steam AND Epic and NEITHER can get EA to open, even if I had those programs install the EA app.
  • I'm also having the same problem with the new game, epic games have gave us. The game is called Dragon age: Inquisition GOTY edition.
The problem I'm having is that I connected Electronic Arts with Epic Games but it keeps sending me to the buying page/store page in Electronic Arts application.
Is there a way to fix this problem?

  • I recently got Dragon Age: Inquisition through Epic Games and linking my account seemed to work but the game will not install on the Epic Games launcher, nor does it show up in my EA library despite the accounts being linked. Is there a solution for this bug yet? Other users seem to be having the same problem.

Im having the same problem with the same game i got it on epic games for free but when i try to download it it just says “this title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log in to a different account or restart the app to try again.” i created an ea games account just for this game and its not working.

What worked for me was this: when a popup wanted me to login (I was already logged in, so again I logged off; I tried everything the internet suggested, reinstalling both apps, no linking option available, etc.), I typed my login, and then I clicked "I forgot my password." After creating a new password, everything went straight forward. It's a bug, not a user problem. Now, in my EA account settings, I have EPIC GAMES linked; Epic was not present there before.
