I tired to launch The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. The game started loading but kept minimizing. Then it put up a warning that the game needed an update (it doesn't) and to launch it from the Game Hub. I tried repairing the game, but that did nothing. Even if I could ignore the update warning, the fact that it keeps minimizing means it's unplayable.

@EA  Has any solution been found ? I`m fed up with this situation. It`s been over a month since we could access our games that we paid for.....

seriously it has been over a month since I got to play sims 4 and the answers don't work for me...will w ever play again but it is only the sims 4 I can play sims 3

EA FIX IT I WANT TO PLAY SIMS

Update: EA is still giving the "update required" error. However, I was able to load up into my game by going offline. To go offline, go to the top left of the EA app, click the three lines, and press go offline. Let me know if that helps!

I,ve already tried that, it doesn't worked for me, the game don't load ☹️

Also, the Sims 3 has the same issues on my machine as The Sims 2. Windows 11 and EA app fully up-to-date.

I notice that both games, when I tried to launch them, brought up a window saying that I needed to sign in to register them on this machine. (I have played them on this machine in the past, though not recently.) If I had to guess, I would say it's something with an EA App update causing a conflict with older Sims games.

(It's almost like requiring an internet connection for older, single-player, offline games doesn't improve them and only breaks them.)

when i go offline my play button for sims 4 is all grayed out and nothing happens when i click on it i can play my other game sims 3 it is only sims 4 that wont work i went through all my mods and its the same its sad because i had trouble with it before fixed then less then a month later it is acting up again with no solution Great EA wonderful job.....

Tomorrow is supposed to be the base game update thing so fingers crossed it might work after updating it. I really hope it does. If it doesn't work by the end of this month I am requesting a full refund because this is annoying and stupid. I mean I see other people's games working fine and I haven't even been able to open it for a month after trying everything. Heck EA I thought you read this platform, why haven't you done anything yet then.

I just updated my game and this issue started after the update today? I’m getting nervous when people say they haven’t been able to play for weeks 😭😟

I just updated the game, yet the same message still appears 😭 I’m desperate at this point. 

Fr! I Mine js updated and is still saying 'update required' or 'this game hasn't released yet' like WHAT. It's so frustrating. Who else is stil having this problem? I have the Deluxe edt  btw 

Okay if anyone else is still experiencing this problem try deleting all your mods because I think it's the Mods that's the problem in mine was working then I put on the Mods then just stopped just stop so try deleting all your mods your game should come back on just restart your PC first

I don’t have any mods though!! I’ve restarted my PC, repaired and updated the game but nothing’s working! 😢

I also have this problem and nothing works even after today's update.

I updated the game, but still is the same. Game starts, but message about update still apears.

So I have been having this issue for the past month and have found some ways that have worked for me some of the time. Sometimes going offline on the EA app allows me to launch the sims 4 but sometimes it just glitches back to EA. Another thing that has worked for me a few times is opening the task manager and opening the sims 4 by clicking on the file running the game

It is working now but has alot of bugs and I have been having problems with CAS as well. It is not like before and sometimes I have to turn off my PC fully just to have to get it to work again
