does not work. It looks like EA isn't accepting It Takes Two as a free game for people who have Xbox Game Pass... It's just a bug that needs to be fixed on EA's end.

I too had the same issue, the game would not download for me, when taken to the EA Desktop App from Game Pass

Steps I took to fix this in detail> 

Got to https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/aboutme/index?locale=en_US
Change regional settings to Spain
Open your EA Desktop app
Open your Xbox for PC app
Locate It Takes Two in the Xbox app, click to download
EA Desktop app will then correctly load the page and ask you where you would like to install
Go back to EA account website, change regional settings back to English once the download has complete

This ended up fixing it for me - I picked Denmark and changed my language, as well as Restarting the "EAbackgroundService" in Services.

I have a few games that simply do not have the pop-up to Install appear -

1. A Way Out
2. It Takes Two
3. Battlefied 2042 (Game Trial)
4. FIFA 22 (Game Trial)

Oddly, Madden 22 works as expected.

This doesn't appear to be a date issue - as Crysis Remastered shows as releasing after It Takes Two.

I'm thinking they just have some weird broken links on a couple backend servers, and changing Region and or Language may help clear the local client's routing to get to another Server.

It may take a few attempts at changing location and restarting the EA to work for people.

Same here.  This is broken.

Tried everything what have been proposed in this and other threads, but solved this strange error another way.

1. Uninstall EA app

2. Download setup file from EA website

3. Run setup as administrator

4. Start app as administrator.

Suprisingly, this actions allowed me to begin downloading It Takes Two. Screenshot included. I've DO NOT even tried to do something in Xbox app, it was idle in background.

It helps with "It takes two", but not with Mass Effect Legendary Edition

its still not working i go to the xbox app and try to download it takes 2  using my xbox game pass but when i click the download button it takes me to the ea app and tells me to buy the game for 40$ i should be able to get it for free since i have the xbox game pass

bro open ea app, go it takes two's page and open vpn to another country and start download(dont forget to turn off vpn after that so you'll download faster). Worked for me...

Im having the same problem but with Need For Speed Heat

yeah it can downloaded, but when i launch it, the game is trial and just friendpass. what's wring with ea. when i back to ea it still ask me to purchase
