Re: EA App keeps deleting or uninstalling itself

Hey @123546739280192

Please make sure that your antivirus software is not blocking the app by adding it to the exclusions list.

This could also be an error in the system registry, so make sure to scan your registry a couple of times with any app of your choice.

Please make sure that your crap app isn't effected by antivirus software unlike normal decent software such as Steam, also whilst on subject of crapness, how about not taking 5mins plus to send a verification email on login and then certain programs such as Geforce Now time out. EA you really are a joke company!

  • Hi, I have this issue as well, but I do not have any antivirus software installed on my computer.

This keeps happening and I do not have any antivirus software, this has been happening almost regularly for a year now. i have moved the location where EA downloads, and this issue has persisted through two different laptops. I launched EA yesterday with no issues multiple times. Additionaly, I have no custom content for anything, the only game I have is sims.

Tired of the EA app never wotking. Crazy to think that the problem is still presistant after 8 months, considering EA has a revenue of US$ 7.56 BILLION.

Would love it if I could just launch games through Steam, but ofc I can't, it has to go through the EA app that never seems to exist on my computer tough it says it does when i try to install it.

I appreciate the concern, but i did want to keep the message short, but I have the Microsoft built in antivirus (Microsoft Defender), which is just as good if not better than any other standard antivirus software. I figured it was not worth mentioning as I assume any app built to run with Microsoft would have to already have that factored it in.

If this is truly an issue with the Antivirus programs uninstalling the EA app that is a giant issue as it means that EA has some Malware or holes that make the app seem like it is malware, and therefor is badly made. I am mostly back responding to this as I had to reopen this thread to note it had happened again.

i've been having this issue for a year now and it's one of the biggest reasons why i've stopped buying anything that requires EA to launch. they make so much money. if they aren't gonna do DRM-free games, then make sure their client works ???? it's literally a no brainer.
