Re: EA desktop app is invisible!!

I reverted my computer back to windows 10 because I was having issues with other games as well. That actually solved the issue I was having.

That's not a solution though. EA Desktop App is awful. I'm having the same issue and no way I'm going to change my whole OS version to use it.

edit: the app window opens out of the screen visible area

  • Thanks, I had this issue too and the previous poster is correct.

I moved my window back on screen by following these instructions: https://support.ti.davidson.edu/hc/en-us/articles/115016089728-Move-an-Application-Window-From-Off-screen-Back-to-Your-Main-Desktop-Windows#:~:text=Hold%20down%20the%20Shift%20key,%2Dscreen%20to%20on%2Dscreen.

    Edit (added instructions below):

Occasionally, Microsoft Windows thinks you have a second desktop/monitor when you don't. Or, you do have a second desktop/monitor but it is currently not working or can't be turned on. The technique below allows you to bring a window from the "invisible" desktop back to your main desktop.
    1. Right-click on the Windows taskbar and select Cascade windows from the pop-up menu.
    2. Hold down the Shift key, then right-click on the appropriate application icon in the Windows taskbar.
    3. On the resulting pop-up, select the Move option.
    4. Begin pressing the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the invisible window from off-screen to on-screen. Typically, you will use the left arrow to move the window from right to left.
  • @mrcleanup Just now, this is what was actually wrong with mine, too. Thanks for posting this. This solution in the link worked perfectly.

Thanks a lot, finally, after struggling to find solution, did a EA reinstall/repair a lot, this is life saver!

  • This did the trick for me! So excited and thankful to have it back running again. Thank you!

  • yup. Just alt + spacebar and then "move" and you will be able to move the window with your mouse.

  • @mrcleanup OMG... thanks you so much for sharing that! I'd tried Win+ arrows to try and move it but wasn't aware of this method 🙂
I can now actually see my library again lol
