@CompilerCat, that is correct. And if you read the description of this setting, it mentions that it is for the games, not for the app itself. 🙂

Edit: added a screenshot of the setting for you. "Game library location" does not mean "EA app itself".

@EA_Leeuw Stating that the installer is working as intended is not helpful and only antagonizes EA's clients, who clearly want the option to install the EA app on another drive. They've provided valid reasons for why they may wish to do this (e.g. to keep the system drive dedicated to the OS).

What would be helpful would be providing the rationale for why the devs feel that giving folks the option to install the EA App on alternative drives is not something they wish to do. This is a feature that is available on most other game clients (e.g. Steam).
Failing to provide any sort of explanation for this choice being made by the devs just antagonizes the people reading this thread and alienates your customer base.

And the reasoning they provided for requiring the app to be installed on the system drive when all other major game clients allow it to be installed on other drives was . . . ?

@EA_Leeuw Maybe the feedback has been passed on, but you have had forever to fix this problem! I'm not using EA app until you have fixed this. I have plenty of other places to go and who knows if I will ever look back?

EA app: change of installation location-no, offline- no

is there any Update on this feedback?
I think that users should be allowed to change the installation path by default and also be obliged to do so. Not everyone wants to have everything on the system hard disk.
I, for example, want to have everything related to games (that includes the launchers, except user data like login, game settings or save games, which are usually either in the Documents or Saved Games folder) not on C:\ but on a separate SSD installed for games.
