Well I have AVG. I will try that but I still hope they fix it. Downloading 21 GB every time I want to play it is unreasonable.

I have the same problem. Yesterday I played the game without issues. Today when I tried to start the game, I got a message saying I needed to repair the game. I clicked the "repair" option, but when the repairing process was at the wrapping up stage, an error message appeared: "Permission error: Failed to create folder - The EA app requires full control permissions to create this folder. Reach out to EA Help for more information. Folder path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\"
I ran EA app as administrator, and I turned off my antivirus software.- I managed to solve the problem. But I had to uninstall and reinstall the whole game.
