I am unable to connect to my friends or even send him a friend request through the bf2042 in game system.

We are friends on origin and both have our respective accounts linked to our systems, I'm on PC and my friends are on Xbox.

Notes:

Cross play is enabled.

Game is running on current version.

Have tried using EA id and gamer tag in bf 2042 to no avail.

Tried hosting an empty experience server so he could join and i could add him as a recent player but he was unable to find the experience and the same result for myself when we switched roles.

Tried finding the same custom filters by having the save filter settings in hopes we could join the same game.

Is there any fix to this? just spent an hour trying various things and not one works.

Hi @uglyface15 Which Xbox does your friend use?

One has a Xbox Series X and the other has an Xbox One.

@uglyface15 The friend with the Series X will need to check that they're launching the Series X/S version of the game, in case they're launching the Xbox One version. However, Xbox One cannot crossplay with PC at all, only with PlayStation, so you won't be able to play with that friend I'm afraid.
