Re: How to fix Error Code EC:10000 or EC:10500 in EA app?

EXACTLY! Please tell me you found a fix. The only thing that semi worked for me was turning off the firewall. But I shouldn't have to do that to play a freaking game.

@JustDoinItBig I have a quick solution for your ea app log in error 10000 which worked for me.
    .
    .
Change the public dns server address
1.hold windows key and press R to open run.
2.in the run dialog box type ncpa.cpl then click ok.
3.right click your network adapter and click properties.
4.select internet protocol version 4(tcp/ipv4) and click properties.
5.tick the use the following dns server address and infront of prefferred DNS server type 1.1.1.1
    6. Infront of alternate dns server type 1.0.0.1
    7. Click ok to save settings.
    8. Restart your pc.
This worked for me i hope this will fix your issue.
    Thank me later🙌

    Hey everyone.

There is a lot of good info here as this seems to be more network/permission based as from what is described and what did and did not work. Can we try the following steps and let me know if they work or do not work?

    Connection Steps

Thanks to @SUPREMEE7  for these steps.

  • I have the same issues when trying to login on a brand new install and in addition, when I tried using google to login via browser, then the app would just hang on the "finish logging in on browser screen..." for several minutes. Tried all of the fixes and nothing worked.

I finally got it working when I went into program files and opened the EALauncher.exe instead of EADesktop.exe and was able to actually get logged in and open the app and my games library. So maybe try using the launcher app instead of the desktop app I guess.

I ran into this problem early this morning, I did the system checks needed (even checked that Windows update is not running) to realize that the problem was not local, but still it was a communication one, checked my internet speed through one of those online speed check free services, and according to it I had only 25kb bandwidth, then I called my ISP by phone to politely ask for the issue, they had put me on a list of users with limited bandwidth, supposedly "by accident", they reinstated my bandwidth, and the error EC 10000 is gone, after that move the EA app worked well, a bit slow for my taste but works for me right now.

@Jotaerre3D Im sorry to hear that your speed was slowed down like that but the good news is that it is now working for you. I will add that to the notes for the team.
