Re: [INFO/REQUEST] EA app - Can't find a friend
Why was my reply deleted? I'm not sure what's going on. I was requested to bring my information into here which I did and it's been deleted twice. The thread I created was closed so I can't even speak in there anymore. Is my issue being dealt with? Or am I just being ignored? @MADrag0n apologies I can't reply to you in the other thread as they closed it. I've attempted to add the requested information in here but it keeps vanishing. I'm not sure why...
Posting (again) in here as requested in the other thread. I can see my son, I just can't add him.
- EA App Error ID: FAILED TO SEND FRIEND REQUEST . // 2:-13629710400:404J:504K
- Game: Battlefield 2042
- Your Platform and Gen and your friends: PC and my son is playing on Xbox
- Are EA App Privacy settings set to public for all? (Y/N): Yes for me. No idea on the son, can't access anything about his settings
- If importing friends, are the Privacy settings on PC/Console profiles set to public? (Y/N): N/A
- Have you blocked one another before? No
- Is cross-play turned on, if applicable? Yes
- Screenshot(s)? (Y/N): Yes, of the error
- Additional information
I'm trying to add my son on Battlefield 2042 so that we can play together and I can supervise him. He's on Xbox, I'm on PC. He has a child account connected to my email address. I'll list as much info as possible:
- When I try to add him, I can search for his name and see his player card, but when clicking to add, I just get the attached error.
- When he searches for me, my name comes up and he can see my player card and clicking it gives the same error.
- Sometimes when he searches for me, my name has the Xbox logo next to it, which has no option to add as a friend (we are already Xbox friends and play other games together) and adding to party doesn't work whilst I'm playing on the PC.
- He can add other people in the list that have the Xbox logo next to their name.
- He can't add people in the list that have the PC logo next to their name (same error).
- For the purpose of figuring this out, I've allowed him to add friends through the Xbox settings and he's able to.
- I don't show up as an EA friend on his account (nor him on mine) and we don't have 2 Xboxes to play together on.
I hope that this issue can be resolved as it's quite annoying that we are unable to play together even though he can add strangers without issue.
