@izzykeeling  Your saves and other user data are only stored locally on your laptop, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.  If you don't have a backup copy of this folder, everything is gone, unfortunately.

If you happen to use OneDrive (Windows) or iCloud Drive (macOS), it's worth checking there to see whether any of your data was synced.  This could have happened automatically, so you might get lucky.
