Hey. I have the same problem. I logged over 100 hours of gameplay since release, playing using Origin launcher. Couple of plays ago i desided to play again. I dowloaded the game with EA launcher, tried to start it and getting error (screenshot). turned on UAC, redownloaded game again but it still give me the same error
Join the club, everyone's having the same "Failed to launch game" problem. It seems that everyone that played Anthem since Origin Launcher facing this exact issue.
My friends bought Anthem on EA store recently, they're fine and enjoying their time grinding in the game- @Bibig00n @ZanSenpai Sent you guys a private message for old Origin fix if you want to play Anthem again.

Unfortunately, after using this plugin, Origin will still pop up the EA APP upgrade window, but thank you very much for your help!😢
Well, here I am joining the club too apparently.
Not only do I own the game from the Origin days, I am also subscribed to EA Play through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. And yet no dice, cannot play because of this issue.@Indigoh Could you pls send me a PM with the fix as well? I'm not confident that EA will fix this in any reasonable time frame, given this post's history. Thank you!
exactlu what we are all getting, does it say this too in add ons ? iwanted to starty playing again as currnt games are boring me and anthem had so much potential

none of these fixes seem to be working, have used two different versions of origin, have made changes to the local.xml as suggested on reddit and origin always tells me to update to the EA App. I was able to play on the EA App for the better part of two days and now me and my friend both get the "the problem is on our end" error. If anyone has a sure fire way to get this game to launch I would love to know it because I really enjoy playing this on occasion. If EA doesn't fix this somehow pretty sure I'll never buy another EA game.
- @Felarrond Ask a guy named "indigoh" and he will dm you the fix. It worked for me and I am now playing it. You can find him one of the before pages of this thread.

just doesnt with my own ea account. own it on pc and , have ea play, windows game pass. cant play on my own account.
ea app error reporter doesnt work either "excrisionay irony" error Would be nice to have some kind of update on this, especially if it's happening to multiple titles. So frustrating to not be able to play. Like sure I'm probably not going to login every day, but I still login every other week or so to bang it out for a bit.
I've now been unable to login since March.

@Artunias this has been ridiculous for a long time
I am a software developer, this sort of bug is something that would get assigned priority 0 and I would be called in the middle of the night to fix ASAP, dropping every other assigned task
the mere fact that this has been going on for months is a *joke*- @Indigoh Could I please also get a pm for this fix?
Hey @Indigoh looks like EA killed the fix. Origin is telling me there's a mandatory update and won't update or restart. Any ideas?

Old time Anthem player here ~200 hours . Was like hey I haven't played in like a year or more I want to jump on.
I just installed the new EA app on my PC. It said I have legion of dawn edition (weird because I only had it through the Origin subscription)
I installed it. Will not run.
I bought EA Play ($0.99/mo first month) to see if I could play it through "subscription". Will not run.
What can I do to play please
@EA_Shepard If they could take the time to kill the way people were getting around this can we get some kind of update on when we might actually be able to play the game we paid for again? It's literally been months for many of us at this point, and it feels pretty ridiculous.
