Re: Purchased Sims 4 packs not showing as owned/can't install

I thought that EA just updated so I expected purchases to be honored right away.  Apparently we still can't use purchased content.  The EA app shows nothing to download even though I just bought a stuff pack.  JUST NOW.  So aggravating, right?

I have a workaround.

Uninstall the EA app.

  • Install Origin Thin Setup.
  • When prompted to install EA app, ignore and wait.
  • Watch lower left corner of Origin app while purchased DLC is verified.
  • Wait for new purchase (pack/kit) to install.
  • Then allow EA to install.  It will uninstall Origin but you'll still have the thinsetup. e x e file on your hdd.
  • Load the game and it should be ready with all your DLC.

If you don't have the Origin install file, you can google it.  I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link it here.
I've done this twice and it works.  It's messy and inconvenient but it's all I have until EA fixes their horrible app.

For missing content that was previously there:

  • Open the EA app.
  • Go to the pack that the game says you're missing.
  • Click to play from that DLC icon.
  • Should load that content successfully.

I did this once yesterday and my missing (Get To Work) content was all there.

*I don't work for EA, this is something I've tested as a player and had success with*
