Re: Sims 4 - Game License Invalid

I own all of the packs (minus the kits), and I bought them all through the EA App. A couple of weeks ago it started saying: "Game license is invalid. The app couldn't read the game's license file, so we suggest relaunching the game in online mode. If the problem continues, try clearing your cache." My game is in "online mode." I had cleared my cache multiple times; I even uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4 and even the EA App THREE TIMES, I even repaired multiply times as well. And I am still getting the same message over and over again. I even deleted the localthumbcache.package file and the contents of the cache, cachestr, and onlinethumbnailcache. Still the same error... I love the game so much and I have been playing The Sims even since I was little. I just hate how I am not allowed to play the game and enjoy the new packs that are coming out... Please fix this soon!

Do you have Xbox game pass linked to your EA account?

Yes, unlink it and don't relink it. otherwise, you'll be in my boat. They won't let you unlink it for 6 months. When its linked Xbox takes the makeup of files and doesn't display it the way Ea app recognizes it. Why this happens who know, but its ridiculous and they need to fix it, or at least let us unlink it without making us wait 6 months.

You should be able to play it just fine. you might have to uninstall and reinstall the game though Ea app, but it should work, It did for me till I relinked it for the 10% discount, not knowing that it wouldn't let me unlink for 6th months after I bought an expansion pack, I'm pretty upset.

Should I delete like everything even in the trash can? Because I've reinstalled it many times, but I never "emptied" the trash can because I am so worried that it won't put back in the things- you know all the stuff that comes with The Sims when you download the game, drawing a blank as to what its called lol
