@Vypr1981 I really appreciate that info. That will help. It sounds like a throttle issue with the app. I don't see the backend, but I can give them all that info for sure. Let me know if you run into any other issues.

I am curious though. If you can change the EA App to run as admin in the properties, go into the settings and change the download speeds and see what happens. Just my own curiosity to see the difference on a new Windows install like that.

    Ive followed all of the instructions as well as uninstalling the EA launcher and reinstalling it, the issue I am having is that when I am trying to install the extra content for sims 3, 2 of the dlc, Island Paradise and Pets, gets stuck on preparing, but the rest installs fine

    I have followed all of the previous instructions as well as some tricks I know when I have issues like this with pervious launchers, this appears to be an issue on your end. Do you know when this will be fixed as I never had any issue with Origins and it seems like this new app was implemented with no testing at all

    I have found a old link to Origins and have redownloaded Origins and all of the DLC is downloading but I am waiting to see if Pets and IP downloads

    Edit; I have managed to use Origins to install the DLC, meaning that the issue lies solely with the EA App, it is working as well

    @Squidbiker63 There is going to be an update pushed from the team for the app here soon. Please keep an eye out on that and let us know if you run into issues still with any other games or content stuck on preparing.

    @Artyomoff_S7 Not at the moment. The last update was the team was going to push a backend update to help resolve these. Can you please run the EA App update as admin and repair the client and let us know if that does not work for you?

  • @EA_Shepard Thanks for your message. I updated the app many times as admin but what do you mean by repairing the client? Do you have any instructions how to do this?
  • @EA_Shepard how can there still be no fix for this weeks after its been posted? I bought a game expecting to play it right away still waiting to even get it installed. This needs escalating.
