[RESOLVED] - EA app Error Code EC:204

@mizundaconstrucnHi, it is my most humble opinion that it will be more helpful and beneficial if you would have rather link the other thread here or vice versa. It shouldn't matter whom gets replied first what matters is finding a solution to the issue.

We should always try to help each other instead of destroy.

I have found somewhat work around this error.

Launch the game while online than when you are on the game menu disconnect your wifi, your game should automatically go offline and you be able to play the game as normal.

If I'm reading what you wrote correctly, I've tried this as well. It does work, up until you save and exit. The next time I go to launch my game, it forgets that I have done that and reissues EC:204

@6wjrz4rq4sb2Unfortunately it doesn't fix the error at all and it has to be done each time you launch the game. But at least it helps a little to bypass the error and lets you play the game offline as desired.

I am also having this problem.  I have selected the part to keep me signed in when I sign in and that does not solve the issue either. I have restarted the app and it does not work either. Only way I can play offline is if I load the game WITH internet and as it starts loading then disconnect my internet, there is no way to load the game WITHOUT any internet. I added a me too.

My Report ID is 6276b2f9-76a0-49d2-85ec-a4b859eb06b9 and I’m having the same problem of unable to launch Sims 4 offline because of Error Code EC:204. I had to update the EA App today and ever since then I can’t launch offline.

Yeah when I'm online it's fine but offline I get the error. I live in the woods with only a mobile hotspot.

I am having the same issue. I can't play offline anymore.

I need to be able to play offline because I play with mods and usually postpone patches for a few days until my mods are updated.

This started happening to me after the app asked me to update it and I did. I just tried to play the Sims 4 now and it said the same thing. I didnt have such an issue with the previous version of the EA app. I really miss origin. 😢

My apartment doesn't have the fastest wifi and now I keep getting this error
