SimCity doesn't launch after moving from Origin to EA App

Same issue here, I just bought a newer computer and its giving me a [1008] error. My graphics card is not the problem, everything worked fine on my older laptop that had origin. BUT I was given no choice but to download EA on this new computer. Has anyone found a solution?

J'ai aussi le même problème sous Windows 10 . Avec origine ça fonctionner très bien , mais avec EA  il ne marche pas . Je cherche toujours la solution au problème . 

hi guys, i managed to lauch the game and play, this is how i achieved it :

Go under ea laucher -> click on the three _ upper left of the soft window -> parameters -> application -> disable the in game overlay.

Then open Geforce Experience -> select SimCity -> click on the wrench (next to optimize button) -> customize graphic parameter : switch fullscreen to windowed without border.
