Summarize your bug Can't download DLCs for Sims 3.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try using your own app to download the DLCs. Looking at the forums it appears to be a problem for plenty of people besides me.
What happens when the bug occurs? The app shows nothing but "preparing" constantly until after several minutes it says there was a problem.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see games and items that I have paid for downloading.
The packs which won't download are as follows:
Into the Future
Movie Stuff
University Life
Island Paradise
The base game and other packs have downloaded with no problem.
I have already tried all of the EA help page advice like clearing the cache, reloading the app and other time-wasting nonsense that does absolutely nothing to fix the problem.
I had no problems with downloading these with Origin previously, but after a hard drive issue I needed to download the game again and was forced to use the app to do so, which is when the problem arose.
