I've been facing this issue for going on a few months now. I've contacted EA support multiple times now hoping that I'd get anything other than the default, "Update drivers. Update Visual C++. Restart the EA App. Clear the EA App cache."
With that being said, I believe I've narrowed it down to being an account issue rather than an computer/networking issue as EA support and others claim. My wife and I have our own separate PCs. If I launch The Sims 4 from this account on either computer, I get the "Game license is invalid" error. If I launch the game from my wife's account on either computer, the game is able to boot just fine.
I do not have an issue with any other game from the EA App. For example, I am able to launch and play Skate. from either account on either computer just fine. It honestly seems like something has happened to have revoked/bugged The Sims 4 game license attached to my account.
I guess welcome to the current state of gaming where purchasing a game doesn't actually mean you own the game, but rather just a license that can be revoked at any time.
Thanks EA.
