I found a solution, its to not use EA app as the launcher. Uninstall EA app and Sims 4. I deleted all my mods before this so I don't know if you can just copy them into a new folder, probably can. Once its uninstalled, install Sims 4 on Steam. It will ask after you run it through steam to connect to EA and should auto install EA App to install your packs and such. Don't run sims through EA! Run it through steam! Not positive if this will work for everyone, but it is working perfectly for me now. The EA staff is not helpful and obviously do not know how nor care to know how to fix this issue, so just avoid them pretty much completely! Your mods folder and any other game info should be created in the Steam folder on your pc.

thegeekwithsheek Would you mind posting the Reddit link with the detailed steps you used? Or the name of the thread? I tried looking but I'm having poor luck. I did try using Sims through Steam two or three times but I got the license issue there as well. Maybe I missed a step? Thanks in advance.
