SOLUTION I FOUND!!
so I had to buy/download sims4 on STEAM and doing so they require you to use your EA/ORIGIN login for whatever reason- and if you put in your login- you can transfer all of your packs!! I did lose my saves and cc (but I’m sure you can just copy and paste and save them via your desktop then transfer those too into the new folder/files created by steam) but I have spent wayyyy too long trying to get my sims4 to work again, that I didn’t care about saving any of that stuff.
