Long story short, my hp computer broke and there was a good deal on a MacBook so I switched over.
Bad news, all the sims packs I bought on steam I can’t download anymore since sims on steam only works for windows
Is there a way around this so I don’t rebuy them all again? I spend hundreds of dollars on the packs.
I reached out to EA and they haven’t said anything so I feel like I’m SOL. I tried transferring all the downloads thru a usb drive like es games website said to but it still didn’t work bc I downloaded them on steam.
Would appreciate any feed back, even the bad kind lol

Hi,
When I was on Windows, I downloaded and played The Sims 4 and my add-ons through Epic Games without any issues.
Now on Mac, in the EA App all my add-ons show as "Windows only," so I can’t install them.Has anyone else had this issue or found a fix?
Thanks!

I recently switched from Windows to a Mac and was transferring my game when I realized that 3 packs wouldn't transfer but were shown as owned (Jungle Adventure, Luxury Party, and the Fashion Street Kit), all of which were purchased during the 2023 Epic Games sale, where they were given away for free. Specifically, when I click manage add-ons it shows the packs greyed out and says "Available on Windows" below each. I now realize that Epic Games doesn't support Mac OS for The Sims 4, so I can't link my EA account like I did when I initially got the packs. For me to play on my Mac with these packs, would I have to repurchase these packs on my own or is there another way I can get them back because I don't want to repurchase?

Before the EA app was a thing, and it was just Orgin, I bought the packs from Steam (on my main Windows PC), however I cannot get some of these packs on my Mac. It says (on my EA app) that they are linked to my Steam app, and is only available on Windows. Sims from Steam is also just available for Windows. I have quite a few packs to say the least, and hates to not being able to play them. Some of the packs are available, but not all of them. Mainly the older ones I bought is unavailable. Any way to fix this, or do I have to like buy ever pack again?
Thank you.

Hi folks,
I bought these expansion packs previously, and I'm 100% sure that I could play them on Origin platform on my Mac. EA engineers could track my playing history with these expansions on my Mac.
I noticed that they changed the platform to EA App, but it shows it's only available on Windows now.
I don't get it. Can someone tell me how I can solve this situation?
Could anyone provide me with support? I changed from PC to MacBook yesterday, however some of ym expansion packs are unable to be downloaded as it says for windows. I did purchase some of them on a. secondary app however the ones that are working were purchased their too... The specific packs that aren't working are cats and dogs, and get to work. Does anyone have a way around this?

Hello, I need some help with my Sims 4 add-ons on Mac.
I recently reinstalled The Sims 4 on my Mac and noticed that my purchased add-ons (e.g., City Living, Seasons, Dream Home Decorator) are showing up in the add-ons list, but each one says "Available on Windows" and I can't use them on my Mac.
I’m not sure why this is happening, since I own the content and would like to use it again. Could this be a platform compatibility issue (Steam vs. EA App vs. Origin)? Or is there something I need to do to make them available on macOS?
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
