robynamos That's good to hear, at least, but I don't know whether uninstalling and reinstalling the game will help. Before doing that, I'd suggest clearing Windows temp files, as described here:

It's also worth trying to play in a new admin Windows account. Make it local, as in, don't link your Microsoft account or any email address. Please also make sure the new account's username contains only letters found in the Roman alphabet: no special characters, no accents, nothing atypical at all. You'll be able to (try to) launch Sims 4 without reinstalling anything. Your saves and other user data won't be available, but that's fine for now and can be addressed later.
If that doesn't help, then yes, it's worth reinstalling the game. But since you're going to go through the process anyway, I would suggest doing a clean uninstall of both Sims 4 and the EA App, as described in the accepted solution of this thread:
[CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 DLC shows as installed, won't load in-game | EA Forums - 11831673
Anchors aren't working on this site at the moment, so use ctrl-F to search for revo and jump there.
I would also use the new Windows account when reinstalling the App and the game.
I followed your instructions to the letter and even though I had to do the clean install of everything, I'm finally able to play my game! So happy. Thank you so much for the advice!
