Sims 4 Won't Update in EA App (Mac)

My EA App says that The Sims 4 needs an update. I click the update button, a menu to agree with the terms and conditions pops up, on which i press continue. The window closes and nothing happens. I h...

This is happening to me too. I'm thinking it's something to do with the new update and/or the EA app as it wont let me uninstall sims either.
