Bumping this. I would love to be able to link my Epic account and play battlefront.
As an edit / addendum, my issue has changed from the twofold error message to a much simpler one that says "there's been an error. try resetting your password and restarting your game"
obviously there was no game started in the first place, and resetting my password didn't work.
