    I did manage to get it running after uninstalling an App I was using called Smart App that tracks my data and gives me rewards every couple of months. Not sure if that was the issue but the EA desktop and my Steam are now working correctly lol.

Not sure if this will help anybody, but the issue disappeared for me when I logged in using this account on somewhere else. Like using your phone browser for example.
