Hey there,
I got a big issue with starting Inquisition. So far I tried now for days with the same results. Everytime I try to launch the game, the EA App minimizes, the process starts (visible on Task Manager), then shortly after closes and the EA App goes back to my desktop. So far I tried everything I could find so far and tried to solve this with the EA Support via Mail, which was not really succesful to describe it a little fancy.
So far I tried the following steps:
- Install and Start the Game in Origin.
- Install and Start the Game in the EA APP
- Run everything with admin rights (Launcher, App and game executable)
- Clean Boot (Even with no other systems enabled than the EA APP and it's background processes it won't launch)
- Add manually exceptions into the firewall.
- Turn off firewall
- Try to start it with compatibility mode
- Shut off the fullscreen support
- Reinstall via the VCs and DirectX located in the game folder
- Repair it
- Pray to lhe lord himself
- No Anti-Virus Program running (Don't have one installed anyway)
- Forward the issue to microsoft (No answer)
- Tried to launch the game with a friends account, with GOTY and without
- reinstall the game a dozen times (really, I reinstalled it like 8 times)
- delete all single folders i was able to find after deinstalling
- deleting the profile folder located in the save folder.
- Graphic drivers are up to date
I attached my dxdiag if it helps, needles to say i made sure I also match the system requirements. Even so it should start anyway, and I already got several hours into the game.
So please, if anyone could suprise me with a miracle, I would be reeeeally thankful.

- 2 years ago@Zakkuri Same here. Ever since EA forced me to update from Origin to EA app, I haven't been able to play. It's been weeks, I've filed reports, commented on message boards like this, etc. EA hasn't responded or tried to help at all.
If you find any workarounds for this, please lmk. I'm so frustrated.- 2 years ago
I'd like to help you, but nothing so far has worked. I'm even considering to Update to Win11, as it MAY change something as a last straw option. Only thing EA seems to do is moving topics around and forget about them. Got this issue reported for weeks now and even wrote per mail just to learn that their "support" is googling the most common issues and wouldn't even mind to read your mails entirely. Gonna be honest here, if they won't fix it, the can keep their dreadwolf and maybe any other game in the future. Even Wild Hearts is a bugfest, but at least it launches. This company will be dead if they won't step up their game.
Rant over. :D

Dragon Age Inquisition worked just fine for me on Origin. When i got forced to install EA App, it suddenly didn't wanna start anymore. It boots up and closes immediately.
What kind of joke is this. This problem exists for quite a while now and nothing get's done about it. Countless "fixes" all over the place and none of them works.
Why do they force us to use a new launcher when the games don't even work? Just give me back Origin if you can't fix it, EA.
