Technical Issues Sims 4

Question

When trying to open Sims 4 in the EA app on my laptop, a message appeared saying that files were corrupt and that I needed to repair. I tried to repair it and it got to around 80% multiple times and then failed, with a message stating "The game failed to install or update. We couldn't update The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe due to an Access Denied error to C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4_DX9_x64.exe_DIP_Staged. If you're using antivirus software, add %gamefile% to the antivirus exclusion list, restart your device if necessary, and resume the game update. If the issue persists, reach out to EA help."

I then tried to restart my device and as the issue persisted, I uninstalled the game and upon trying to reinstall it, the same message appeared.

How do I solve this?

Same thing happened to me. I didn't change anything on my antivirus, so I don't think that's the problem. The last time I played the game, I put a building from the Gallery into my world and the game started lagging. I was in build mode and couldn't place down or delete objects. I thought maybe the build was too big for my laptop, so I closed the game for the day, and now I when I went to open it (from the EA app) it gave me the same message. I also tried repairing, and the uninstalling and reinstalling, but also got the message. I don't kow if the build I downloaded from the Gallery has anything to do with this, but that's the only thing that comes to mind. Also I do use mods, but I don't have anything new, so I don't think they would act up now, and like this.

Edit: I also had blank bubbles in the interactions menu when I tried to interact with pets.

Really hope this gets a fix because I spent money on this game so I would like to play it.

Hi Bethmd13!&nbsp;The game now works for me, but I didn't do anything, it fixed itself after a few weeks when I tried to download it again, and there was an update for the game. But a friend of mine said she had the same thing happening to her game and she did what the popup said and changed something with her antivirus, so maybe try that if it doesn't get better for you.&nbsp;
