The Sims 3 won't work

I have finally merged my EA accounts and finally wanted to play TS3 again, but it will not launch. I don't even get to the TS3 Launcher. All I get is a pop-up saying "Failed to launch game. An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later.". I've been trying for almost 6 hours. I did everything. Restarting my PC/the EA app, reinstalling The Sims 3, reinstalling the EA app, using one of my TS3 discs to launch the game (I sadly lost the base game, so I used the Seasons disc), getting in touch with EA support (it's not working, I'm not getting anyone assigned to me) and I'm at my wits end. Isn't this game supposed to work? Why can't I launch it? Please; I don't want to lose my childhood game.
