Just checking: are you getting this error for just a few games, or all the games you're trying to play?
On a side note, I have a feeling this might be due to your machine's specs rather than Windows itself. For instance, the system requirements for Dead Space include needing a dedicated graphics card in addition to your CPU.
You could try the following steps:
Disable Hyper-V
Hyper-V is Microsoft's virtualization technology and could potentially cause the game to think it's running in a virtual environment.
- Go to
Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off. - Uncheck
Hyper-Vand restart your device.
Check for Third-Party Virtualization Software
Ensure that any third-party virtualization software (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox) is not running or conflicting with the game.
- Close any virtualization software and services running in the background.
