Too many redirects

I'm trying to log in to the ea desktop app with my xbox account and I always get the "too many redirects" error, no matter what browser I use or how many times I clear the cache and the cookies. I've also tried to link an existing ea account with my xbox account, and still the same error. Any idea how to fix this? I've seen many topics created here regarding the same error and none of them reach a solution.

@theobellota Hey, can you give me a screenshot of the error you get? I have an idea of what the error is already, but I want to make sure it is the right error I am thinking about.

@theobellota Ahh okay, This happens on any browser and different connections regardless if you try on PC, mobile or the console itself.

Switching from wifi to data, your own hotspot or connecting to a different connection altogether?

  • Tried with data and still getting the error. Thanks for the fast reply though.

@theobellota Can you log into your EA profile using your console login? I didn't see it linked to your EA account but I would like to see if it is maybe linked to another EA account.

  • I don't quite understand what you mean by that. I do not own any console. I just want to log in with my xbox account or link it because that's where I have my GamePass subscription.

@theobellota You mentioned Xbox that is why I asked. So you're using Xbox  Game Pass for PC or the Game PAss Ultimate which allows you to play on PC?

If you are using Xbox Game Pass, then you can log in using your Xbox credentials and not the EA credentials. You don't need to be on the console. You only need to use the login itself.

  • Sorry for the confusion. I am using Game Pass Ultimate, so I need to click on the xbox icon in the ea app log in page, which opens a tab in my browser for me to do it, but no matter what I do, I always get the "too many redirects" error. I' ve tried logging in with an ea account and then linking my microsoft account, but no results either.

@theobellota When you log into profile.ea.com with your Xbox account, does it let you log in? The error you are getting sometimes indicates that there is an account issue or the console account is already linked to another EA account. If it is not, then there can be a different issue with the EA account itself at which point, the best thing to do is contact live support and have them review the account. Once you eliminated networks not being the cause and no browser or ISP connection works, it is time to look at the actual account itself.
