Unable to connect to server & Error 500

I just downloaded EA games onto my new laptop, upon starting the app is shows error code 500. If I try to start a game it gives an error message saying "unable to connect to EA servers"

I have tried uninstalling the app, restarting the computer, and reinstalling the app and the error continues.
