Unable to download new EA app on Mac

When I go to Origin, I get the popup that says Upgrade Now to the EA App. When I press install now, it doesn't do anything. I have tried downloading it from online, but I can't open it because my computer says that it is the window's version of the app. Is there anyways to fix this?
