I have the same issue...I redeemed my code and clicked download and nothing happened

so you can see the game in your game library in the EA app, and when you click to install, nothing happens? It doesn't load for even a second, no pop-up or error message?
Can you try the steps described in this article?
I can't even see it in the game library.. it was an add-on for The Sims 3

If it's an add-on, have you checked the library by going to The Sims 3 and then clicking Manage Add-Ons there?
