Unable to download The Sims 4 base game

I am trying to do a fresh install on a new PC, when I start my download, it gets stuck at preparing and after 15-30 minutes says that download failed, please try again later.  Other games like for e...

    After downloading the base game from my own account, I was able to download all the DLC from my girlfriends account and play it as intended.
    But for some reason from her account you can't download the base game. Hope this helps someone with the same problem.

THANK YOU. This worked for me when nothing else would. I had to make a second ea account to get the base game downloaded but the rest is now finally downloading. Thank you, thank you!
