Unable to Install The Sims 4 After Account Recovery

Hello,

A few days ago, my account was hacked, and I lost all my games. My library was completely empty. Thankfully, with the help of customer support, my games were restored. However, every time I try to install The Sims 4, I receive an error message. This issue doesn’t make sense because The Sims 4 base game is free.

Troubleshooting steps I have already tried:
  • Installing the game from another account on the same PC – it works correctly.
  • Installing the game on my account on another PC – it does not work.
  • Clearing the cache.
  • Uninstalling the EA App and running it as an administrator.
  • Performing a clean boot of Windows.

Support has not provided me with any additional solutions, and I have over 3,000 hours in this game. I really don’t want to lose access to it because of a hack. Please help me resolve this issue.

I have attached an image of the error message for reference.

  • Hi there,

Please first clear the cache on the EA app with the steps here.

If you're still seeing this error, you'll want to get in contact with live support so they can review your account details a bit further and see what's causing this for you. You can submit a help request by following these steps.

I have a PC and a Mac but I mostly play on PC I was having similar issues on my Mac and it turned out McAfee firewall was blocking the EA app. I disabled it and I was able to reinstall and update my game.

I have done everything the Tech's in the past have said to do, the problem Is (Not) on My end, it is on theirs, I have chatted with a few Tech's about this issue in the past, but have not heard anything back yet as to when My problem will be fixed, as I was told that mY problem is a (Bug) issue that they have obviously not fixed yet, & the trouble shooting stuff did not work for me at all, thanks just the same.

P.S. it is also (Not) a firewall issue for me either.

I even tried today to re-install My Sims 4 game from My Original Disk, but Even that won't work cause it want's to use Origin but Origin was taken over by the EA App so that is a (Big) No, so I am wondering If I wil ever be able to play My Sims 4 game ever again, at this point it all seems hopeless. :(

    Hi BlueBlack007

What's the exact error you're seeing when you try to install your game, can you attach a screenshot to your post for me please?

  • This is the same message I have been getting every time I try to re-install my Sims 4 base game in the EA App now for like 4 months. :

  • For those who are having the same problem I did with the Sims 4 base game (Not) re-installing in the EA App, this is what (I) did to fix My own game, > I installed The Sims 4 base game on Steam, I Linked Steam with EA App, & as soon as I did that All My Packs for Sims 4 game downloaded themselves, So even though I was not able to get my Base game back into EA App cause now it say's it's invalid, I can now play My game again through steam. So happy bout that,      . P.S. only took over 4 months for me to finally do this cause I was waiting on EA to help me fix problem, which they said was a Bug!.
