Sometimes.. if you repair the game files WITHOUT closing the "cloud not activate" screen THEN open the game it works.

I'm getting the same error and submitted a ticket. How do you repair the game without closing the error window? I can't click on "manage" or anything else in the app without first closing the error pop-up.
can they not test that these new apps work before releasing next time please, im sick of having to spent time on their bugs. Just updated to EA app from origin and have same error, can't play BF3 anymore, the cloud data was fine 5mins ago until i was forced to upgrade to the new EA app.
Same in BF4. Game keeps crashing since I was forced to "update" to EA app. You are not alone.
