Hi everyone:
I have EA Play through Xbox Game Pass for PC, but when I try to download Squadrons I get this message:
Unable to install
There was a slight hiccup and we couldn’t finish installing STAR WARS™: Squadrons. Restart your PC and try again.
I've tried restarting my PC, relogging, uninstalling and installing the app... Nothing has worked. I don't have this problem with other games.
However, I think I know what is going on. The app says "You own this game" when I do not, while for every other EA Play games it says "Included with your EA Play membership". I gifted Squadrons to a friend months ago, so I suspect that's what causing this bug.
Is there anything I can do other than wait for an update? I'd love to be able to play Squadrons.
Thanks!

I'm having this issue as well but for every game, including ones that it says I own.

Did anyone help you with this problem? I'm having the same issue
- 3 years ago@DeafMurloc I've got the work-around "solution" inspired by other user's comment below: Change the install location to Hard disk root location. For example C:\ for internal drive or E:\ (or what ever drive letter assigned) for an external drive. Don't put under a parent folder "\EA Games"

Easy fix is to clear the cache in the EA app.
