Unable to update or uninstall The Sims 4

Hi, so I have been trying to update my Sims 4 for the past 3 days and nothing is working. I have cleared the cache, completed a repair and reinstalled the ea app. However, the app will not let me update or uninstall sims, even though I have no error message or any mods etc.
