Update Stuck on "Cancel Download"

I tried to download a Sims 4 update and it was stuck on 9% for thirty minutes! Then, I cancelled it and it has been stuck cancelling the download for four hours now. Four hours! This never happened to me on Origin. Please help. I've tried quitting the app and logging out and back in, and it's still cancelling.

@avidal1031 I even tried clearing the cache and it didn’t do anything to help.

I'm having the same issue and also clicked cancelling but it's also stuck with that too.

So I restarted my computer, cleared the cache again, then launched the app and it resumed downloading. Not sure if it was a fluke or not but worth a shot.
