Windows PC EA app not launching
EA App not starting on windows 10. Try to reinstall, but this doesn`t help, app not working, just nothing happens after clicking on app, and if i go in the task manager the only think that i see is E...
I installed the EA desktop software but I can't launch it. It opens on a blank window and absolutely everything I tried failed. Origin was working at least. In the task manager I have "EA background Service" and sometimes but not always I have a QtWebEngineProcess error but it is rare.
I uninstalled with Revo, reinstalled; ran as administrator, tried App recovery, disabled the firewall for this wretched app.
I enabled UTF-8 for worldwide language support. Downloaded the latest directX version. I even went through a side installer.
I tried again with minimal mode and firewall exclusion, still nothing. It's unbelievable, nothing to do, I'm really starting to run out of options...
Frankly your application is evil.
Nothing to do, do you have any ideas? Of course; my drivers are up to date. I've had this problem for 3 days now, I'm seriously starting to get tired of it...
Hey I'm getting the same thing as you. Did everything the forum requested - but still nothing.
i've done:
This EA app is broken. EA please fix it!
I’m having the exact same problem, plus EA help aren’t replying to me at all. It’s just a grey window for me
Having the same issues, tried EVERYTHING ea help mentioned, but still nothing helps (not in particular order):
- uninstalled ea and reinstall✔️ no launch❌
- delete everything, download origin, installed it, downloaded game again, switched to ea app✔️ launched, switched off "remember me", but could only play for 1 day, then (without ANY changes on my side!!!) the app failed to launch again❌
- cleared cache✔️ no launch❌
- installed latest DirectX again✔️ no launch❌
- set EABackgroundServices to start automatically ✔️ no launch❌
- set Unicode UTF-8✔️ no launch❌
- set firewall off✔️ no launch❌
- excluded anything from EA from Defender✔️ no launch❌
- started router new✔️ no launch❌
- set SSL to use TLS✔️ no launch❌
- set UAC to zero✔️ no launch❌
...
For me, it's ALWAYS the same error that says that the EABackgroundServices can't make any connection due to a failed handshake with some peer.
In my humble opinion, that isn't an error caused by something on my side; so, I should still be able to play offline like it was with Origin.
I've paid real money for the game, and I want to play it.
No idea what to do next, because what I've done is literally EVERYTHING ea "help" wanted me to try out.
I'M NOT KIDDING RIGHT NOW, BUT I'VE INSTALLED ORIGIN OVER THE NOT WORKING EA APP, AND IT WAS INSTALLED! I WAS ABLE TO LOG IN WITH EMAIL AND PASSWORD, THEN ORIGIN STARTED, AND I COULD OPEN THE GAME!! I'M PLAYING RIGHT NOW!!!
GIVE IT A TRY, AS SILLY AS IT SOUNDS.
Hey guys, I halve solved it - i downloaded and older MSI - https://origin-a.akamaihd.net/EA-Desktop-Client-Download/installer-releases/EADesktop-12.0.35.4816-142.msi - installed it and logged in (then updated). Was able to download all my games but those purchased via Epic games still get stuck on Link2EA.exe being *.
Just thought i'll update here.
