EA SPORTS FC 27 shows as "Unavailable" — conflict between EA App and Steam
My brother and I share the same PC. We each bought our own copy of EA SPORTS FC 27, on separate EA accounts, because we both play Ultimate Team:
- I bought my copy directly through the EA App.
- He bought his copy through Steam, using Steam wallet balance.
The problem: when both versions are installed on the PC at the same time, only one of them works. My copy shows as "Unavailable" when his Steam version is installed, and I have to uninstall his Steam version and reinstall my EA App version just to play — and he has to do the same in reverse to play his.
This seems to be a conflict between the EA App and Steam installations on the same machine (possibly shared files, registry entries, or DRM/license data), not an issue with either of our subscriptions or purchases, since both copies were legitimately purchased and work fine on their own.
Question: Is there a way to have both the EA App version and the Steam version of EA SPORTS FC 27 installed on the same PC at the same time, under two separate EA accounts, without one blocking the other?
