Game play autentic

I have been playing the FC 27 Lite version and I want to give some very specific feedback about Authentic Gameplay.

First, I want to say that the gameplay has improved a lot. It already feels much better to me, and I can clearly see the potential of Authentic Gameplay 2.0. The player movement, body weight and physicality are much closer to what I expect from real football.

However, I noticed something that I believe is currently one of the biggest problems with the realism of the game: animation transitions and interrupted animations.

The game clearly has very realistic animations. I have seen players perform movements that look exactly like what a real footballer would do. The problem is that sometimes the game seems to interrupt, shorten or insert part of another animation before the correct movement can be completed.

For example, I had a situation where a player was running and preparing to cross with his right foot. Physically, he should plant his left foot before swinging the right leg to cross the ball. Instead, before completing that movement, the game seemed to insert an extra partial leg movement. The player appeared to extend his leg, almost “float” for a moment without properly planting the foot, and then immediately transition into the crossing animation.

What makes this even more interesting is that I later performed almost the same type of cross and the player executed it correctly. He ran, planted the left foot naturally, and then used the right foot to cross. That animation looked completely realistic.

So the animation itself is clearly there. The problem seems to be how the game decides which animation to play and how it transitions between animations.

I have also noticed this while simply running in a straight line. Sometimes the player is running right-left-right-left naturally, and suddenly the game adds an unnecessary extra step or repeats a leg movement that does not make physical sense for the player's momentum.

This is especially noticeable because FC 27 is trying to make player movement more physical and realistic. When an animation is interrupted or an unnecessary movement is inserted, the player can appear to float instead of actually planting the foot on the ground.

I would much rather see the complete physical movement happen, even if that means my command takes a fraction longer to execute.

If the player needs one more step to prepare a cross, let him take that step. If he is not physically ready to shoot, let him miss the opportunity. That would actually make the game MORE realistic, not less.

Modern console hardware and current animation technology are capable of extremely detailed and realistic player movement. FC 27 already demonstrates that these animations exist. What seems to be missing is making the animation system consistently respect the player's physical sequence instead of cutting or combining animations in ways that break the movement.

The game is already much better and has enormous potential. I would really like EA to investigate animation blending, transitions, foot planting and the synchronization between player input and the full animation.

Please don't remove the realism by making the animation shorter just to make the command happen immediately.

Sometimes letting the player finish the movement — even if I lose the opportunity to cross or shoot — would make the game feel much more like real football.
