Can’t link account with my playstation
I no longer have access to the email that I used for my EA account (it was a school email) and was asked to verify the account, which I cannot do. So I created another account to try and link my PlayStation so I can play games and it is not allowing me because the account I cannot access is linked to it. Any suggestions?
Hi izakplasky,
It sounds like the main issue is that the email on the original EA account is inaccessible, so you can't log into the account to make the changes you want. So you're trying to work around that by setting up a second EA account with the email you can access and bringing the PlayStation over to that account. However, in order to remove the link, you're hit a wall, as you're getting an error saying the PlayStation is already linked to the original EA account. Does that sum things up?
If so, this might sound odd, but I think it's a good thing you haven't yet been able to remove the link. There are risks involved with unlinking accounts. For example, if you remove your PlayStation link from the original EA account and link it to a new EA account, you'll permanently lose access to the EA games, game progress, and in-game purchases, which might defeat the purpose.
Before opting for that, consider connecting with our support team. Once they've verified that you're the account owner they are chatting with, they may be able to help you update the email registered to your original EA account, which would solve the issue. I know you mentioned you weren't able to verify before, but try to recall the information they asked for. Without their help, you will not be able to recover access to the original EA account or remove the link.
