Account merge situation, lies from customer support chat
So I wanted to merge my accounts after reading an article on the EA HELP website. After carefully reading through the article, I have found that my account is ELIGIBLE for the merging process, so I have started to contact the customer support via chat. I have asked the guy in chat multiple times, if this process is doable in my case, he assured me many times that it's doable. He asked for my email address and for other account informations. I have provided him the requested details. The whole conversation took exactly 1 hour, and then he tells me that the account merge is not available due to a previous purchase. He said he can't disclose the exact purchase. I wasted 1 hour on this chat, getting lied to, for nothing. Please review my case or my chat history with that guy, or review your own policy, because what happened to me was: I was receiving false information, you spread fake details to me, your customer support agent broke your own policy. This is the article that I was writing about: https://help.ea.com/en/articles/ea-account/multiple-ea-accounts/ This is honestly ridiculous, and it breaks trust to this company as a whole.Solved19Views0likes1CommentRequest to Bring Back the Beloved Game “Village Life”
Dear EA Team, I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing as a long-time fan of Village Life, a game that touched the hearts of many players around the world. As you have acquired Playdemic, the original developer of the game, we believe you now hold the legacy of this beloved title. Like thousands of others, I have incredibly fond memories of building families, growing villages, and watching generations flourish. Village Life stood out with its emotional depth, peaceful gameplay, and unique generational system—something we haven’t quite found in other games since. Even years after its removal, the community remains active—sharing screenshots, nostalgic memories, and hoping for its return. There are countless social media groups and forum threads filled with people who would wholeheartedly support a remaster or revival of the game. We understand that re-releasing a retired title is a major decision. However, the demand is real and the love for this game has only grown stronger with time. Whether it's a refreshed mobile version, a limited-time release, or even a spiritual successor, we’d be thrilled to see Village Life live on in some form. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for carrying the torch of a game that meant so much to so many of us—not just as a game, but as a cherished part of our lives. Warm regards, Iremnur A lifelong Village Life fan2.7KViews26likes18CommentsNo explanation, just automated messages.
I am reaching out in regards to a wrongful ban. I was issued a “Warning” back in 2022 and as of this week that warning has been upgraded to a ban. Without any explanation or follow ups. All because I tried unlinking and re-linking my EA account due to an error madden. (Had I knew this was going to create this issue I would’ve never un-linked in the first place.) No other cases or any other violations. 4 years later it is upgraded to a ban for absolutely no reason, follow-ups or explanations. I have spoke with the chat-support on EA’s site countless time. Even they agreed this an error on their end but do not have the authority to do anything about it. I have tried appealing the ban maybe 6-7 times so far and but clearly I am just dealing with an automated messaging system. Receiving the same message every single time. I have contacted other agents via chat and they all keep sending me down a dead-end road. Telling me to follow the same protocol. I have screenshots of the chats and the original warning. Where it clearly states I am still able to access my account as long as I follow guidelines. I have tried reaching out to PlayStation network, ultimately they’re telling me this is a “EA issue”. Since 2022 after that initial warning I have not recieved any other violations. It clearly states my account is accessible as long as I’m following the rules/guidelines. This 100% a wrongful ban and systematical error on EA’s end. But nothing is being done and I’m just going in circles at this point. There is no human in the that specific department to even speak to. I am looking for help to get this issue resolved!4Views0likes0CommentsEA NextStep, a step back
I am starting to think that they know what they are doing, seeing that the forum was the only resource that popped up when I was researching a problem I was pleasantly surprised to see a "contact us" button at the bottom of the support page. Now I was fully expecting an AI assistant, at least before speaking with support staff or having a ticket created, but what EA has created is well beyond any other assistant I have ever had the displeasure of navigating. Every single prompt from EA NextStep comes with little to no regard of the information you entered into the window previously. Beyond stating your name multiple times be prepared to state your problem, game, and system multiple times in repeat. And for those of you as gullible as me, hoping, praying to at least have an actual ticket created and maybe get a chance to have another person review your problem, let me save you the effort. At the end of each session with EA NextStep it will prompt you to the EA "Self Help" guide where the AI chose an article for you to read and hopefully fix the problem yourself, the only problem, it doesn't actually listen to your problem. I was trying to solve the random EA app failure on PC and beyond having to give it all of the important information multiple times, I was offered a generic "game help" article, a "login help" article, and a "connectivity troubleshooting" article, none of which actually addressed the problem or the fact that I had attempted many of the steps those articles were suggesting before trying to find more help. If anyone has a solution to the EA app bug, I would be very appreciative, but I will not hold my breath on EA finding the solution, as the multitude of threads on and off of this site complaining about the exact issue I was having, and the EA proposed solution, if all else fails, factory reset, and the EA app and EA games are just not worth that effort.63Views2likes6Commentsthe worst support ive been given by a company absolutely no help at all

Hello everybody, I know I'm just another number on the board, reading the forums and other experiences i have little hope. If a EA member or Dev can actually have a look at the case number and provide me with some context on the issue. Ticket status Waiting on Studio for about a week now... Ban Reason Gameplay enhancement. Status permanent. I have not received any information on what actually triggered this ban, no illegal software is running on my machine. The automated response given on my 1st appeal is useless. From the forums i can see it could be multiple previously reported apps, Logitech MxKeys, Corsair iCue, MSI Afterburner and so on.. I completely agree to post information for the reason of my ban publicly.28Views0likes0CommentsEA, Stop Ignoring Us: Xbox and PSN Accounts Stuck on Unrecoverable EA Profiles
This is a collective appeal on behalf of the many users who have, over the years, experienced the same recurring issue – and still have no solution. The problem is simple but severe: Players lose access to their EA account, and as a result, they are unable to unlink it from their Xbox or PS profile. Without EA's help, they are permanently locked out of using EA services on Xbox/PS. And EA Support has failed to provide effective assistance. We are not talking about isolated incidents. This is a widespread and years-old problem, affecting hundreds (if not thousands) of players. It continues to appear regularly in EA Forums, Reddit, Microsoft and Playstation support threads, and gaming communities. It’s time to acknowledge that this is not a user mistake – this is a systemic failure in account management and support policy. The Problem Xbox and Playstation profiles often become automatically linked to old EA accounts – sometimes accounts that are no longer accessible, deleted, or tied to an email that no longer exists. Players cannot unlink the Xbox/PS profile from the EA account unless they verify the original EA account. If the user has no access to the email or recovery methods (due to age, lost credentials, or deactivated accounts), EA support refuses to help. Microsoft/Sony confirms they cannot unlink EA accounts on their end. EA's stance is rigid: “No verification, no unlinking.” Even if the account is clearly inactive or the user is verified through Xbox/PS->Origin credentials. Support tickets are often closed without action. Chats end with no resolution. Users are passed between departments, but nothing changes. Recent Example (May 2025) Just yesterday, I posted the following here on EA’s forums, and it summarizes the problem: “I can't unlink my Xbox account from an old EA account that I don't have access to anymore. EA Support told me there’s nothing they can do. I just want to play EA games again, but I’m locked out of all online services because my Xbox is linked to a ghost account.” Full Post Here This is not a one-off. It is one of many. What Players Are Asking For We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for a realistic, user-focused solution to a well-known issue. Specifically: A process for unlinking Xbox or Playstation accounts when the original EA account cannot be recovered. This could involve verifying identity via Xbox Live/PSN data, Xbox/PS account ownership, or linking proof. Better support escalation paths. Not just canned responses and auto-closed tickets. Real human review for unresolved account access cases. Transparency on what can and cannot be done. Many users are told “there’s nothing we can do” – while others manage to get unlinking done after dozens of failed attempts. The policy is inconsistent. The Bigger Picture Many affected users have: Lost access to EA Play/Game Pass benefits despite paying for them. Abandoned EA games completely because the account issues make playing impossible. Created entirely new Xbox/PSN accounts, losing years of progress and purchases. Spent hours or days dealing with EA support without a single result. We are asking EA to take responsibility and implement system-level fixes. This is a trust issue. Players who lose access to their EA account should not be cut off from Xbox/PS games they legally own or subscribe to. Supporting Evidence: Community Reports Date Source & Link Summary May 16, 2025 EA Forum User unable to unlink Xbox from old EA account; EA Support states "nothing we can do". April 2025 Microsoft Community Xbox Gamertag linked to an old/unknown EA account; EA will not unlink it, stating the account is deleted. April 2022 Microsoft Community EA refuses to unlink Xbox from deleted EA account; GDPR request ignored. February 2021 Reddit - r/Xbox EA demands code sent to inactive email; user locked out despite valid Xbox account. Early 2021 Microsoft Community User unable to unlink EA account; Microsoft confirms EA is sole authority. November 2018 Overclockers UK Forum Player locked to 10-year-old EA account; EA support unhelpful after multiple attempts. And many more... Final Call EA, this is a growing trust and accessibility issue. Gamers should not be permanently blocked from their Xbox/Playstation content because of a policy that assumes email access is forever. Technology evolves. People change accounts. But support systems must evolve with that. We urge you to: Recognize this as a longstanding issue. Commit to a workable solution for affected users. Respond to the community with clarity and action. This isn’t just about one player. This is about hundreds of us, waiting for a fair resolution. EA - in the name of all gamers - please fix this!
