Can't delete post I created that no one has commented on

I created a post a month or so ago about something in a game.  I've figured out what I asked in the post on my own in due course, no one has commented on the post (including myself) or liked/voted for it, so I would assume that I should be able to delete the post?

However, I've clicked delete on the post options multiple times (over multiple days) and nothing happens.  I've resorted to reporting the post as the only way to get rid of it.

I don't understand why I can't delete my own post if no one has interacted with it.  I think it is a pretty standard feature to have on forums, it was certainly on AHQ as I remember, as I know I'd deleted a post I'd created in the past there.
