Changed my email addresses name and now can't get access to my EA
Hi i was wondering if someone could help me? I changed my name on my email address and now when ,I am trying to change it on ea, I am getting stuck by the 2 step verification code. I opened this account years ago in 2011 and since then have also changed my mobile number.
I created a new account with the changed email address to try get some help through a live chat but they are not very helpful with this matter. They only have one solution that is to send a link through my Xbox to then select "change email". But this does not work at all it just comes up with the send code to my old email address. I have told them that I have screenshots to prove its my account and I even have access to emails from ea before I changed my email name.
They don't want to listen to me and just want to send a prompt to my Xbox, then say they can't help me and to try again later.
Can someone help me find out who to contact about merging or unlinking the old email? Or remove the two step verification? As no one is giving me an email or any help from EA and I am stuck in a roundabout with the chat team. Due to the time limit on resolving queries, I am constantly being told by the chat support that the session has ran out of time and they can help me no further. Requesting to contact them again later in the day.

If you can't recover access to the old email address to receive the codes, please try to reach out to the Support Team again, following this guide, to explain that you need help getting back into your EA account linked to Xbox, and make sure the new email address you want to use going forward for your EA account is available.
If you have created a new EA account with the email address you want to update the old account with, it won't work.
