I dislike being a seasoned newcomer, it makes me sound like a roasted pork chop with rosemary and thyme.

All ranks have new, rising and seasoned levels. π
- RoseOfMontanaNew Traveler
When I think of food it just brings out fun in life and in the game. Gotta have that seasoning. π
- Jayel-1Seasoned Ace
that's hilarious!
Ooh, bonus. I can copy and paste my own smilies!
- RoseOfMontanaNew Traveler
I don't mind at all. I guess a little seasoning goes a long way. Pass the salt and pepper please.π

Don't forget about the potato in the mouth to keep you quiet π€« No avi. No personalities.

They really should have left the ability for everyone to use a custom avatar. Most of us used our sims in our avatars and it was cool to see the different sims. Now, it's like the same 20 or so pictures and no individuality.
- MDianaSimsSeasoned Hotshot
The amount of times I think: Wait, did I post that? Nope, just someone with the same picture π
- ccrisanRising Scout
yes, seems unfair. I want to use my own picture. π’

I want me back. I do not like pink hair girl, she is always appearing in other people's posts. And I like the other choices even less. Give us back our individuality! I thought EA was all about the representation?
- atreya33Seasoned Veteran
I agree, having a custom avatar gives us individuality and helps our identity. Like MDianaSims I have also been confused when I saw a post started with my current avatar. I keep thinking 'did I post that?' just to realise it's the lack of individuality that's playing tricks on me. When I looked at the info about hero ranks it even said some people will never get that rank, which makes sense. But the consequence is that these people are never given the possibility to establish themselves as an individual on this forum. That's a huge let down.
On a side note, the solved tag on this post is misleading. The issue is explained (no custom avatars for regular member), that's not the same as a solution.
- Joanne_SnowRising Traveler
Theyβre very liberal about marking something as solved when their response did, like you said, not actually solve anything xD

Most forums allow you to have a custom avatar. You don't have to "work" for it. This is silly.
- ccrisanRising Scout
It make non sense at all.
- anthonydyerSeasoned Traveler
Agreed
- Plutosheart79New Traveler
Yeah, it's a real let-down knowing that not only do we not have the ability to choose our own avatars, but that there's so few of them to choose from. I can see it getting very confusing very quickly.
I actually liked the entire layout of the old forums better than here. They felt easier to read and easier to navigate.
- Jayel-1Seasoned Ace
I agree with being able to have our own identities.
Having so many people sharing the tiny circle makes it so hard to spot someone straight away.
But, will saying any of this make any difference?
- anthonydyerSeasoned Traveler
Jayel-1Right! The circles are so tiny too! That is one thing the old forums had right.

alr me too, regular green plumbob until they upgrade to custom avatar. Why wouldnt they apply the avatar from our EA account on this system i dont understand. And btw, anyone know if there is a dark theme i missed somewhere or shall i start a thread on that topic ? White screen is hurting my eyes ....
Green plumbob reminds me of old forums so I'm keeping that until everyone can change to custom profile picture no fun being only one showing your face in masquerade
really hope they make profile pictures bigger, square and less pixelated too
- mcruddSeasoned Adventurer
Thanks for your support Simmingal, I especially know how much you love custom avatars
- anthonydyerSeasoned Traveler
Right. There is some work to be done here. The profile picture in the new forums is too small to be meaningful to us and I never liked circular pictures. The way the old forums did it was in a state of perfection.
- crocobauraSeasoned Ace
I have seen people add their avatar as a picture on their post. Like this. The only drawback is you need to add it every time you post. Some even posted signatures in similar way.
