All of these things together are making the use of this forum unpleasant for me. I used to log onto the old forum daily and read stuff even if I didn't always post anything. It was a fun way to see what other players were doing in their games, and to interact with other players and creative people. With this forum I find myself more and more reluctant to come here at all. At this point I only check in every few days, and mostly not enthused about doing so. And I'm only here to try and keep in touch with the friends I made on the old forum, otherwise I think I'd just stop.
GlacierSnowGhost I can fully attribute this to myself as I have lost faith it will be very different, regardless of good intentions. I'm assuming it's not just my lack of patience. It seems, among other things, that nesting replies will be a continuous division in the Forum and I can't find my way around it.
I feel like I'm losing most of my old friends with each new day and I am constantly wondering if there are other meeting places to suggest.
At one point I mentioned Discord because it's relatively easy to create a group there. It's just not a place where new writers drop by uninvited. It is precisely those who help to give the Art of Sims Storytelling, new oxygen and life.
However, I think that new writers can have many challenges in finding their way to the group in this Forum. How is it even going to be visible to anyone when it ends up at the bottom of a random list of featured topics?
Hmm! I feel I'm turning into an old grumbler and I don't want that. So better turn my attention to healthier places. I'm writing a new chapter that will hopefully shed more light...at least for some of the characters. 😅
I really hope we keep in touch somehow. I assume it still happens in our Storytelling.

I completely get what you’re saying and I’m so close to trying to figure out if I can make a forum part of my Sims blog as it’s on Wordpress but also quite a popular reference point so might bring in other sims players too (my stories are the least engaged with by far hahaha). I do have a discord server but you’re right that discord doesn’t attract newer members unless you’re actively promoting it. We shall find a solution I’m sure!
