Posting to the new forums doesn't work?

Hey EA!

Trying to do a post in the SWGOH General Discussion forum and get the not-so-helpful response of "Something went wrong" so I try again after editing and get the same error and then try again and eventually get the "maximum number of posts" error even though I've not successfully posted anything.

Feedback: make the errors let us know why the posts don't work so we can fix it?

Request: help me out, folks, I just want to post! It's got a couple links to non EA sites and a screenshot, is that the problem? It doesn't say any swears, so I don't think that's it. Actually, I wonder if this post will even work... Let's see!

  • Got it sorted with EA_David's help. Looks like an issue with my text including some hidden HTML from where I copy/pasted it from. Removed that and good to go!

So, check the HTML version of your posts if they aren't working and make sure it is just the basics.

  • I have found that if it acts like that it can only handle one link or one image at a time if edited in afterwards... but clearly this is not an ideal way to make a post...

Hey, currently there are a couple of issues that can stall posting, If you have a link within spoiler tags that won't work.

Also some combinations of bolding items within a list won't post. Weird issues, but we're looking into them.

Sorry, we don't have a way to reset the post limiter, but we're aware of the issues with it.

I hope this helps you to get the post up, if you still have issues, I can look into it.

If you open the HTML menu, you can copy that and send it to me in a DM.

To open the html, you can click the 3 dots in the top right of the post menu, then the "<>" icon.
